Principal Project Engineer/ Solar Renewable Energy
location: SpainOur client is a energytransition partner and independent power producer. They are specialized in developing,constructing, operating and maintaining integrated solar, battery storage andother charging assets for all sort of clients.
Currently we are looking for aPrincipal Project Engineer who will oversee the design of solar and storagesystems for small to medium-sized (< 15MW) ground mount projects.

• A technicalleader in the solar energy field, earning respect from your peers withinstandards bodies, utilities, and ISOs, and actively building relationships withthem.
Your responsibilities willinclude:
Acting as the Owner's Engineerfor our portfolio of ground mount PV projects, assuming the role of anindependent advisor.
Managing engineering firms toensure project designs adhere to our standards, industry best practices, andcomply with local regulations, utility interconnection requirements, andrelevant design standards.
Applying your expertise tooptimize project designs in terms of cost, quality, and implementationefficiency, providing guidance on trade-offs between cost and timeline.
Offering guidance and supportto the Development, Engineering, Construction, and Asset Management teams.
Collaborating with theSolutions Engineering team to develop innovative products, standardizeddesigns, and new methods/processes that enhance cost-effectiveness andimplementation timelines while maintaining high-quality standards.
Your qualifications:
Master's degree in Electrical,Civil, or Mechanical Engineering (other advanced degrees will be consideredwith relevant experience and demonstrated knowledge).
At least 5 years of experiencein solar project design, including expertise in:
Designing solar+storageprojects and/or standalone storage projects.
Ground mount solar PV designfor small to medium-sized (< 15MW) projects.
Professional Engineerlicensure in one or more of the following states: CA, TX, NY, MA, IL, VA, andME, with a preference for NY.
Experience with ground mountPV development processes, including land assessment, studies supportingdiscretionary permitting, and early identification of engineering andconstructability issues during the development phase.
Experience acting as anOwner's Engineer and effectively managing design services provided byindependent design firms or turnkey Engineering, Procurement, and Construction(EPC) contractors.
Familiarity with engineeringassessments and due diligence processes for project acquisitions.
Willingness to travel asneeded
