Our Client is a well-respected and dynamic engineering and manufacturing business, focussedon the e-mobility transport. Our Client specialise in the design and tier 1 manufacture of highand low voltage power distribution systems and wiring harnesses for sectors including automotive,motorsport, commercial vehicle, rail, marine and aerospace. The role

As part of the Engineering team, the Electrical Design Engineer will be responsible forthe design, development and delivery of low and high voltage electrical systems and eMobilitysolutions for both vehicle systems and test rig hardware.Within this role, you will be responsible for all aspects of the electrical system / subsystem designacross the whole V lifecycle.

This will include:

• Supporting generation of requirements from the customer’s brief

• Generation of the circuit design and electrical schematics

• Production of manufacturing drawings for wiring harnesses

• Supporting component selection and sourcing

• Design verification and validation

• BOM generation and management

• Supporting product build

You will work closely with the other functions within the design team and with the manufacturingteam to ensure right first time, on time delivery of the project within budget. You will supportdesign review, team, supplier and customer meetings as required and seek to resolve any issueassigned to you in a timely manner.

Alongside this, you will support the development and roll out of client's quality processesand supporting tools associated with your work and build company's internal electricalengineering capability to support business growth.

Education and Skills Requirements:

- Educated to degree level in electrical engineering or other relevant discipline

- 3+ years’ experience in relevant role and industry

Skills & Experience Required:

• Experience in designing automotive/motorsport/transport electrical systems

• Competent in generating electrical schematics (and wiring diagrams)

• Experienced user of 3D or 2D CAD package. Our Client use Solidworks and VeSYS (CapitalHarness)

• Knowledge of and experience of working to automotive engineering standards and processes

• Experience of designing both HV and LV systems, ideally across both static enclosure-basedsystems and motive applications including component specification and selection

Skills preferred:

• Working knowledge of automotive and motorsport standards and processes for electricalsystem design and manufacture

• Experience of electrical component sourcing and a strong supplier database

• Hands on experience of wiring harness manufacture
